Nigel Vardy�s attermpt to become the first Briton to climb the seven highest peaks on the worlds seven largest islands is being backed by Terra Nova equipment. Vardy has already scaled three of the peaks: Penny Icecap on Baffin Island, Gunnbjornsfield on Greenland and Mount Fuji in Japan. This month he is aiming to cross two more off his list: Mount Kinabalu on Borneo and Gunung Kerinci on Sumatra, leaving Carstensz Pyramid on New Guinea and Maromokotro on Madagascar, which he has scheduled for 2006/07
