WORLD RECORD FOR TERRA NOVA
Terra Nova received confirmation from Guiness World of Records last month that the Laserlite tent is the lightest tent in the world. Because of this according to Terra Nova it has become the first choice for mountain marathons.
RECORD ATTEMPT FOR MOUNTAINEER
Nigel Vardy’s attermpt to become the first Briton to climb the seven highest peaks on the worlds seven largest islands is being backed by Terra Nova equipment. Vardy has already scaled three of the peaks: Penny Icecap on Baffin Island, Gunnbjornsfield on Greenland and Mount Fuji in Japan. This month he is aiming to cross two more off his list: Mount Kinabalu on Borneo and Gunung Kerinci on Sumatra, leaving Carstensz Pyramid on New Guinea and Maromokotro on Madagascar, which he has scheduled for 2006/07
